Helping to restore the London we love

Helping to restore the London we love

We were as shocked as everyone else by the recent riots in London and England. So what can we do to help?

The riots in London affected us deeply. Our studio is in Putney, just down the road from Clapham Junction, which is where some of the worst disturbances took place. Many of our team travel through Clapham every day and so had first-hand experience of what happened.

We were particularly upset by the trashing of a little Clapham fancy dress shop. This had provided many a party outfit for Consider’s celebratory bashes over the years. It’s terrible! Shops have been looted, people have lost their livelihoods, they’ve been assaulted or made homeless. What can we do?

The clean-up

We can all do our bit to help the country get back on its feet. It was great to see Twitter and Facebook being employed to organise a clean-up campaign in Clapham by thousands of energetic “wombles”.

Supporting the victims

Beyond the clean-up, we want to do what we can to help those most badly affected by the riots get their lives back to normal. That’s why we’re encouraging everyone we know to back the Victim Support campaign.

Victim Support are collecting money and using it to help people feel safe again in their communities. We think they’re doing a great job and have already made our own contribution. We’d encourage you to do the same.

To help us support this great cause text 'HELP90 £3' to 70070. Thank you!.

And finally… We loved some of the humorous blogs which sprang up after the riots - in particular http://photoshoplooter.tumblr.com/

"Our brief required a design consistent with the Spotlight brand; to look fresh, relevant and able to be used across all our collateral. It also needed to future proof us for web and the app use and be instantly recognisable.

The whole Consider team were very friendly and enthusiastic. More important, as the project progressed, they were attentive, really listened to us and delivered on time. Always helpful, constructive and fluid in their approach – the 12 week project was a hugely enjoyable process too."
