Thames Bridges Bike Ride 2009
Over 2,100 cyclists including our very own Alistair took part in The Thames Bridge Bike Ride back in May. As well as enjoying a day in the sunshine they were busy raising money for The Stroke Association.
The bike ride started at Tower Bridge then continued all the way down to Hampton Court following the river and taking them over 14 London bridges. A truly spectacular way to see London, it’s not every day that you go over so many of London’s bridges in one go. But it was exhausting too as you’ll see from the pic! Tired but happy!
Al and the rest of Team Bill (Di and Jon) were really chuffed to receive a letter this week from The Stroke Association thanking them for their help and saying that the £1300 they raised means the telephone help service they run can be manned for 66 hours. They absolutely loved getting such a personal update. They’ll definitely be signing up for next year!
