Inigo Matas - The people behind the magic

Inigo has been a senior designer at Consider for four years and is an indispensable part of the team. He's funny, he's fast on his creative feet and clients seem to love him (despite the fact that he's a fanatical Liverpool FC supporter).

Creativity begins at home

"It's quite funny," says Inigo. "I knew Phil and the guys at Consider socially. In fact, I was at art school with Phil, at Farnham. I started freelancing for Consider quite naturally and went full time soon after that. You never know how it's going to pan out when you work with friends. But it's been great."

Inigo has particularly enjoyed working for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. No surprise, given that he has a much-loved Jack Russell of his own at home. "I've recently worked on a campaign that aimed to get donors to sponsor a kennel or kitty cabin at the Home. We created some lovely, emotional materials, ?from' the dogs and cats themselves - a fun and engagingly designed piece."

It's all about the art

Inigo loves painting, screen-printing and photography. He's always thinking about art, visual ideas and likely sources of inspiration. He just can't help himself. The London galleries are often where our talented designer can be found. "I recently went to the Art13 show in London and saw one of Damien Hirst's spin paintings, cut in the shape of a butterfly. It stood out."

Inigo is a fine artist himself. One of his most recent works was inspired by the cult movie Leon, starring Jean Reno. He took the work to be signed by the great man when he was appearing at the French Institute recently. "There was a big crowd of fans and it was difficult to get close to him. But I persevered and made it through."

Inigo has posted some of his work online at a gallery space run by a friend. Take a look for yourself
